LEARNING ACTIVITIES IN SMAN 5 PURWOKERTO

ALTERNATIVE SCENARIO OF EFL CLASS

C.    AN ALTERNATIVE SCENARIO OF EFL CLASS METHOD
1.         Method
The method that we will use for alternative scenario in EFL class is “discussion” from Problem Based Learning (PBL). From what we discussed, in the last observation there was listening so we will develop it into group activities. It will be more fun and make students develop their language skills with communication.
2.         Learning activities and steps
a)        Students are started the class with teacher’s greeting.
b)        Students pray together with the class leader command.
c)        Students get ready for class by answering teacher question about homework.
d)       Students are asked about presence.
e)        Students are given two analytical exposition texts.
f)         Students are gathered together with their groups from the teacher’s pick.
g)        Students identify the structure text, language feature, argument sentences that persuasive, and some essay questions of the 1st text together.
h)        Students from each group present their discussion in front of the class.
i)          Another groups or students give feedback for the presenters.
j)          Students are asked to make questions differently from the 1st text based on the 2nd text.
k)        One student from the groups become a task carrier for the group beside them.
l)          Students answer the questions and make a mind map, then they send the answers back to the group who gave it.
m)      Students get feedback from another group of students and teacher.
n)        Students are closing their learning activities by the rang of bell.
